Access Code is invalid

I have recently experienced something I have never seen before. I am having a network printer error when trying to write to a network port, thru 95 and 98 clients. NT clients print just fine. Error message

There was an error writing to \\XXX\XXXXX
The access code is invalid
This printer will be set to work offline.

I have reinstalled the drivers on both server and client side. All permissions are set fine on the port. Does anyone know what would be creating this error
