access denied to security settings

Can anybody help me with my home pc having windows 2000 pro?The problem is :

One day I renamed my “administrator” account to some new account – somewhere I read that it provides better security.Now I login with that account name.

But now, whenI run GPEDIT.EXE I am not getting access to Security settings and Local polices under windows settings.

I want to have full access to my policies.But no access even thaugh I am the administrator of the machine.Can anybody help me?
