Access – Problem with dates

by mb . Updated 25 years ago

Can anyone please offer me any explanations or solutions to why Access does not always recognise dates correctly. My database has tables linked by a date field. Buttons on one form opens other forms filtered on the date field. Until recently this worked well on 4 out of 7 networked computers(the database resides on my computer which acts as the server). The remaining 3 computers don’t seem to be able to filter the date correctly and just present blank pages. Also an onLoad event set to find a record showing today’s date only works on the first 4 computers. Recently I re-formatted my hard drive and reinstalled my software. Now my I too get blank pages where once I was able to see the correct data. I’m am sure that it is a date problem but am not sure if it is an Access problem or a computer problem. All the computers date and regional settings in both Windows and DOS are the same. I’ve tried setting the date format in my tables to long and short date but nothing works. I’m at my wits end trying to find a solution. Any ideas would be gratefully received.
