Access – Properties Crash @! Help

I have been working on an Access ’97 application for the last few weeks.
It was working fine until I got a compile error on some code I wrote. I changed the code, but when I re-complied I got an error stating that the procedure for “Button49_click”was invalid. How can this be ???
Thinking it was just pointers screwed up, I closed out and reboted my machine.
Now I can’t get into any of the properties and/or code of the forms.
Access creates an Application error with the message “the instruction at “0x6512536d” referenced memory at “0x0000000c”. The memory could not be”read”.

aarrrggghhh….

What is wrong, how can I fix it?
Someone please help.
