Accessing an IE cache via a share

Why when accessing another machine’s IE cache (eg: \\anotherPC\c$\documents and settings\userxyz\local settings\temporary internet files\content.ie5) do you only see the cache of the machine that you are using, NOT the one you are looking at (NT4 and Win2k)????
