Accessing network drives

Recently upgraded my workstation to XP from Win98SE. Now unable to access other workstation hard drives running Win98. My system wants to access them using Guest profile and password. All drives are shared with password protection, however, do not have a Guest profile installed. What is there that needs to be turned on or off to allow accessing other workstation shared drives.
