Hi!
I’ve had to turn off System Restore because of a couple of different viruses, namely, one called W.pirate, I’ve searched quite a bit over the web, but haven’t found any useful info concerning that particular virus, nor have I been able to find any info as to how I can access the System Volume Information folder (Access Denied) of course. I did read somewhere that by turning off ‘System Restore’ the volume information folder gets purged… But as soon as I turn on System Restore the virus returns.
Turning off the System Restore feature does not seem to completely purge the folder.
What can I do to ensure that that folder gets completely wiped? Or how can I access it myself to clear it out manually?
I’m using Win XP Ver. 2002 SP 1 v. 2162…
Thanx!
Ciao!
