active directory

i have a 2000 server and i am runnig 2 apps on my workstations from the server. when i log on as administrator everything works fine, but when i log on as a user that has full control on the folder of the app i get error messages like: “cannot update the cursor”,”file access denied”. it seems that the user doesn’t have enough rights but thy have full control. i heard that active directory might have something to do with my problem .thanks for you help
