Active Directory ???s

At some point AD requested a domain name. I tried just using a plain name, but it wanted a www type address. At this point I’d like to scrap what I typed in and start over, how can I go about deleting my AD and being able to start again? The computer is a Dell PowerEdge running Windows 2000 on a home network.
