Active\Active Clust Supported by M$ ?

I have DL380 G3 Packaged Cluster running Windows 2000 Advanced server and MS Cluster Services.

Want to use Node 1 for SQL DB and Node 2 for Application (COM+) with Node 2 being failover for SQL DB and Node 1 for Application – apparently this is deemed “Active/Active” (?)even though we do not intend to run 2 copies of either at same time.

Compaq support this config for active/active but I have heard on grapevine that Microsoft (using MSCS as built into Win2k Adv Server) do not (Active\Passive only)…problem is I can’t find anything on website to see official statement to that effect.

Anyone know what the real deal is and any advice ?
