AD and non MS MICROSOFT DNS

I am trying to install AD, using a BIND 8.1.2 compliant DNS. I have added a
SOA records on all my DNS servers.

When I try to run AD from the wizard,

“The wizard cannot contact the DNS server that handles the name Domain Name
to determine if it supports dynamic update. Confirm your DNS configuration,
or install and configure a DNS server on this computer”

What I am I doing wrong. Do I need to add another DNS record.
