AD Sites and Services

Having trouble with an Exchange installation where the Information Store Service will not start, and I believe that it relates to this issue:

From a Win2k Server (DC), in Active Directory Sites and services I am attempting to check the replication topology of the NTDS Settings of a new exchange server. While doing so I receive the following error:

The following error occurred during the attempt to contact the domain controller: There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper.

No luck looking it up @ Microsoft. Need a holiday miracle…
