Adding Child Domain

I’m in the process of upgrading my NT4 Servers (PDC, BDC) to W2k Servers. The PDC was used in the Office and the BDC was used the in computer lab.

I had no problems getting the first server up and going. Active Directory is working fine. (At least I think) The primary server is logging on clients with no problems and the clients can access the primary server.

However, I am not able to get the second server going. I try to set it up as a child domain to the primary server but I keep getting told that it can not communicate with the domain controller. The two servers can see each other on the network.

What could I be doing wrong?
