Admin Account Windows 2000 workstation

The administrator user name was changed to a user on the workstation, is there a way to re-establish the administrator profile on this workstation when loggin in as the user who now has administrator rights I get a message that says I need to login as administrator in order to add users but no admin account exists. Is there a fix that does not include re-installing the operating system?
