Admin Logon Issue

I cannot logon as Administrator using the (I am absolutely positive) correct password. This is to a laptop that I configured as Admin a few weeks ago. We’ve been having to logon 2-3 times using our regular user Id’s & passwords with our regular PCs. Is this a server issue? How do I logon to the laptop? Thanks.
