administrator on domain vs.local

by highlander718 . Updated 23 years, 3 months ago

One single NT laptop on my network, active directory, DNS, DHCP, no problem. I’m trying to install a network printer it tells me that I don’t have enough rights for the local machine to install the drivers. User is part of admin group when logs on localy (same user ID) but when logs into the domain looks like is no admin anymore.

How can I set the user to be admin even when logs into the domain. It works fine for Win2k where you can specify that user johnsmith from domain xxxx is the one you’re giving rights to, but in NT I can only specify johnsmith and the system takes it as local, I guess….
