Adobe Reader: wouldn’t launch

I recently upgraded to Adobe Reader &.0.5. When I try to launch it, I
get message: “Adobe Reader could not install correctly. Adobe
Reader was unable to install necessary component and must quit.”
I uninstalled and re-installed several times to no avail. So far the
Adobe forum has been useless.
Anyone willing to give me advise?
