I have a small foot print tower with a SATA Hard drive installed. I decided to purchase an external (since it wont fit in the tower)SATA HDD for back up purposes. I discovered that my mother board had only 1 SATA port on it, so I purchased the Belkin SATA II RAID 2-port (1 internal/ 1 external PCI Express card. Unfortunately, after getting the card and installing it I realized that I can not use the internal port. Due to the location of the port on the card, if I connect my HDD then I can’t put the cover back on my tower. So I have it configured like this. The internal HDD is connected to the SATA port on the motherboard and my external SATA HDD connected the eSATA port on the RAID PCI Express card. How can I set this up to mirror my internal HDD? Or can I even do this? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
