after DMI nothing

perhaps you may be able to help or offer suggesstions?

On start up of my computer when it goes through its loading of the bios and all the pre system procedures start up. Sometimes (getting more often)it stops at the VERIFYING DMI POOL DATA……. and then I get a message disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter? I just keep re-settining the computer till it does finish loading w2k as it should. BUT the time it takes is getting longer. please give your opinion /advice .
i thinkit a hardware problem.
