AGP Question!!

Hi,
New member here name of Scott Pattison..
I currently own a rather old pc. Intel 440BX AGP system chip set. The AGP is Version 1, 2X AGP I am thinking of upgrading the video card, however is it possible to use a 4X / 8X AGP card in its slot or will this not work..
