Allways browse folder in the same way

Hi guys,
The question is: How can I canfigure my explorer in order to browse every disk, folder, workgroup, etc under the DETAIL view.
Don’t know why but sometimes folder opens as I want, and sometimes they get opened with long icons or under listmode.
I noticed that if I choose detail view for the c: root folder, the rest of the disk will keep that setting, but if I choose d:, it opens in list view not detail!.
