Ok I will make a REALLY long story short. This computer I am working on is an older, probably about 600 MHZ Compaq Presario desktop. I have done some “intense troubleshooting” on the HDD and I have deemed that the HDD is dead. I need to get inside the machine, however this “darn” machine is sealed with ‘rivet’ style bolts. does ANYONE know how to extract these w/o doing any of the following…
1. hitting it with a hammer damaging the case
2. taking it to my computer guy and say “here, you do it”
or 3. trying to prod an object underneath the case…it wont work.
if anyone can help me I will reward you somehow.
