AOL messenger logon problems on client P

by faisalmasood . Updated 24 years, 9 months ago

We’ve W2k domain with 1 PDC running Active Directory, DNS, WINS, DHCP, IIS. Dial up server is w2k member server running MS Proxy 2.0 for W2k. Clients include w2k prof, W2k Server, NT4 Workstation Win98.

We are having problems in connecting AOL instant messanger. AOL connects from dial up server & on few PCs. But on most of the clients it popups error when we click Sign on it pops up AIM can’t be reached error.

I’ve verified setting in Conections tab of AOL messenger. I’ve mentioned the proxy settings. I’ve even tested Reset settings & AutoConfigure options. But facing the same problem again & again. I’ve even copied the Server port # on Connections Tab (AOL) of clients on which it connects to those on which I’m trying to connect. But same problem comeing out.

Tell me where the problem is & what is its remedy?
