AOL Shuts down after copy/paste

My wife is experiencing shutdown of AOL on XP. She is copying the body of one email to another email. As soon as she completes the paste operation, AOL shuts down.

She is not copying the text from Word or any other application – it is simply AOL mail to AOL mail. Any ideas?
