Asign a drive letter to a mounted drive?

by sysadmin@commandcommunica . Updated 25 years, 2 months ago

WINDOWS 2000 PRO

I just installed a new hard drive on my computer. I doing so, I cloned my old hard drive to the new one using Norton Ghost.

Some how my new hard drive wound up with an assignment of F: as the drive letter. When I attempt to chage this, using my the Disk Management tool it tells me “Cannot modify the drive letter of your system or boot volume.”

Any help getting my hard drive back to the defaul C: would be most gratly apprecated.

Martin
