asus txp4(socket7plus) -harddrive-proble

despite bios-update-trials, i have huge problems starting harddrive with installed winme.
1. harddrive was copied(with ghost)on a second board and is working. when i mount it in the asus txp4(ver.2.00)-board, fdisk does not see a partition. if i want to make it, fdisk stops at a certain moment. harddisk has no problems and is turning. harddrive is autodetected in bios.
