The ATX with my system fails after installing the parallel port driver from HP system . Im using a 7200 series HP cd writer on my machine.EPATAP2K.SYSis driver used.when a shut down is given the hard disk sleeps , but the background screen and active mouse remains
the installion procedure followed is as follows
With the PC turned off, first connect the parallel port device
and make sure it is up and running
Boot to Windows 2000, then the OS should automatically find the
new hardwareand run the installation wizard
type in the path “C:\W2K CDR DRIVERS” and hit enter
The driver files will now be copied and the system may timeout
for a short while until the driver loading process has completed
After all new hardware sub-devices have been detected and installed, then the new device should become accessible via the application provided for your peripheral
note: its not able to set the hibernation in power settings the error is as follows
error caption:power policy manager unable to reserve hibernate file
error:incorrect function
any idea how to correct , itried upgradation, service pack instal etc
