Auto shutdown and wake up

Does anybody know how to setup Windows95/98 to shut down and then wake up at a scheduled time? Ofcourse, it must be an ATX power supply or a notebook power supply. I have about 300 notebooks to shutdown every afternoon and turn on every morning. I have tried Schedule task but it doesn’t work.
