Background color on login screen

I am looking for a way to change the background color on the NT login screen. I already know about changing the bitmap displayed but I do not want to make a number of bitmaps to cover the various display resolutions. I need to be able to quickly determine what network a server is attached to and thought changing the login screen backgound color would help. I have been searching for any reference to this but have come up empty so far. Suggestions?
