Backing up Deleted email

This may sound like a silly question….

We run Exchange 2003 with a 45 day deleted email and mailbox setting.

We do a full backup every nite of all user email folders.

If a user deletes an email and/or permanently deletes it from the Deleted Folder in Outlook, will this email still show up on the backup in the Deleted Folder or should we be backing up a specific Exchange folder in order to recover it later from the backup?
