Backing Up/Restoring NT File Permissions

Recently I did something stupid – replaced the File Permissions at the Parent Level; which resulted in a huge mess. Does anyone know of a method for backing up and restoring JUST the file permissions? By the way I am referring to NT Server 4.0 (SP6A^)
