I hate to ask this ‘opinion’ question, but I will increase the points and split accordingly if need be for the most intelligently thought out answers. Here it is…I am searching for mainly disaster recovery using CDR/RW media, although being able to restore individual files (like DriveImage5 or Ghost2002) is a big plus. Unfortunately, I tried a demo of Drive Image and it always fails at 50% when closing media on the first CD. I’d go buy Ghost, but I’m generally not a big fan of Symantec, and have read some poor reviews of Ghost. I also tried a demo of NTI Drivebackup which had problems (and was just STUPID slow). I’ve also thought of Novastor InstantRecovery, but my drive is not on the certified list, and an email to their support suggested I just buy it on the 30-day money back trial and test it. It’s cheap, $35, but I don’t relish the hassle of being a guinea pig and possibly losing money on shipping charges. I don’t really have enough info on Dantz Retrospect Express to have an opinion on it, so info on that would also be welcome. Any others I’m missing? Again, sorry for the opinion piece, but I have plenty of points to spare so if you have some thoughtful, INTELLIGENT, comments, go right ahead and I’ll take care of you. Also, any ideas on the Drive Image problem (I really want Drive Image, but not if I have to buy a new burner) that FIX it will win, say, 500 points!
