Bad LPT port?

The computer is a P4, 1.7 GHz, Windows 2000. The printer is a minolta page pro 1100. Windows printing works fine, but I can’t get anything to print from DOS. I’ve tried printing from a command prompt, I’ve tried removing the lpt port from device manager and letting it reinstall, I’ve tried changing from ECP to ECP+EPP, I’ve tried changing printers, and I’m still getting nothing….I ordered an lpt card from our hardware guy, but it usually takes a few days for parts to come in. Does anyone know of anything else I could try while I wait? Thanks a lot!
