badtrans virus alert on exchange

Hello,

I have installed Norton Antivirus 2001 on my Exchange 5.5 server.

Today, I had a virus alert in this file:

D:\EXCHSRVR\IMCDATA\IN\XQ8HOWWN

Norton responded: “Access Denied. The file can not be repaired”.

Do I have to stop the exchange 5.5 services and then rescan?

If I delete this file will it cause any problem to my exchange server?
