The first problem I’m experiencing is with Basic Authentication, IIS is not authenticating the users credentials correctly (it allows anyone to log into the site) when the virtual directory in IIS is pointing to a FrontPage web. I can get Basic Authentication to work correctly if I make the virtual directory in IIS point to a local folder on the server.
The second problem I’m having is to do with mail settings. I have FrontPage Extensions installed on an Win 2K server running IIS 5.0 and I have a form that send the form results in the form of email. The problem I’m having is that whenever a user fills out the form and submits it, the from name in the email is the one that I setup in the Mail Settings in FrontPage. Is it possible to set it up so that the from name in the email is the name of the person that actually sent the email rather than what is specified in the Mail settings?
