beginner @ HTML help and advise please

by thunderbc . Updated 23 years, 3 months ago

I have a website…a very amateur website mind you. I sarted it with my antiquated win 95 machine and Netscape Composer as my HTML editor/builder. I actually liked composer and the simple way of making pages.

Problem is…my old machine’s monitoris down and all my files are on that old thing. I want to download my current HTML files onto my Win XP OS laptop and update my site.

Found out Composer is no longer available, I can’t tell if Netscape Nav. 7.0 has a composer or not? I searched afew freeware and shareware web tools, seems coffeecup is a popular program, I also looked at acehtml which is freeware. I don’t want to get coffeeecup and relize it’s more complicated and fancy for what I plan to do…which is very basic HTML design.

Any suggestions on software or otherwise to continue my site with an up to date machine?

By the way if you want an idea of the type of site I have and what I intend to do… you can visit it at http://www.souvenirland.net

any suggestionsfor improving the HTML there is also appreciated, thanks in advance
