Best hardware and methods to deploy WiFi signal…

What I am trying to accomplish…

I am going to be trying to push a Wireless signal from a house to another building that is about 1600 feet away. Both structures are in direct line of site of one another. This is for residential use, so commercial grade equipment isn’t out of the question, but price is also an issue to keep in mind.

Any thoughts, ideas, or solutions? I have a few ideas in mind, but I’m working alone on this project so its always great hearing others experiences/successes/failures.
