anyone have any best practices or know of any links to sites with windows 9x client best practices for hardware/software?

like a check off list
i seriously need to cut down time onsite (why bother sending a bill to someone for 300$ because their are confilicts that would only take an hour to reinstall) i hate wasting customers money. i really apprecitate any links or answers.
