Beyond 4 IDE Devices on Mother Board

Any thoughts on the best methods/practices for adding more than 4 IDE devices to a system when the Mother board is maxed out? Also, IDE controller products. For example:

1 CD ROM
1 TAPE DRIVE
1 ZIP DRIVE
1 MASTER HARD DRIVE
1 SLAVE HARD DRIVE

3 PCI slots available.
