Motherboard is Asus P4M266 via chipset, and cell 2.4 cpu. Owner said the last time she booted up it gave message saying the CPU settings had to be reset. I have had the system for the last two days and can not find anything wrong with the computer. Bios settings are keeping up to date. Only thing I am confused about, which I have never seen before is when you first get into the Bios at bottom right of screen says CURRENT DEFAULTS: OPTIMIZED, this message keeps FLASHING. Happens every time you switch on and go into Bios. Does this mean the Bios has automatically loaded optimized defaults when system is switched on?? Should it be doing this??
Bios info in system information says Phoenix technologies 6.00 PG 16/7/03. I have not as yet had a message about cpu settings need to be reset as yet, only this flashing message in the bios. Wondering whether to update Bios if this would help?? Any suggestions thank you
