Hi,
I have windows XP pro and after windows loading screen i get black screen (i dont get the cursor icon pure BLACK).
It happens few times in the last weeks.
At the past loaded windows in safe mode with networking (all works fine, i got the windows GUI) and i used the restore option to 26/10/2007 , it worked for few times.
At the last time ( 16/11/2007) event the restore option did not work.
I loaded chkdsk /F (I use NTFS) and the disk tool traced some problems and “fixed” them.
I also started to review the services that loads automatically and disabled few services.
It did not help much.
I like to point out that all the problems started when i moved from ADSL to cable modem, I don’t know if it is linked or it’s just pure coincidence.
I also reviewed Google for help most sites refers to video driver corruption only I don?t think it is my case as I get windows GUI at safe mode with networking.
Please advice
