boot disk failure

I have been cloning quite a few older computers using norton ghost. I have not had any problems until I got to an IBM aptiva. I keep getting a boot disk failure error and the machine will go no further. This machine runs fine in windows.
It reads floppys, the bios seems to be set correctly, and I couldn’t find any mobo jumper setting that would prevent the boot. Anyone with any ideas?? I’m new at this and spent a day searching the net in hopes of finding a solution with no luck.
