Boot problems Asus A7v133c

AMD XP2100+ installed .Booted once , set the CMOS, rebooted . Now it won’t POST. It has no clear CMOS jumper . I am thinking of using hard dip switches on the MOBO to see if that fixes the problem. Anybody see this one before?
Everthing is new (mobo and cpu).
