Bootable RestoreCD for XP laptop

For my department, I’ve configured a new, “loanable” Inspiron1100 laptop (without floppy drive) as I’d like with WinXP pro, apps, settings, etc. I’ve Ghosted an image of it to my server. But I’d also like to create a bootable (set of?) CD(s) to restore the whole thing if it goes bad on a user while out in the field. Try as I might, I cannot successfully burn a bootable CD – I’ve used both Adaptec and Nero to burn, but get nothing but failures…
