Booting from mirrored disk

I have 2 disks set to dynamic, being mirrored on a WIN2k server. I am trying to remove disk 0 and boot from disk 1, but it won’t boot. I have made a fault tolerant boot disk, but it boots to a stop error. The system and boot files are on the volume that is being mirrored. Disk 0 boots fine after removing disk 1, but not the other way around. Any ideas?
