Booting from the hard drive.

by fraiha . Updated 22 years, 6 months ago

I just finished putting together my computer. I installed the first part of Windows 2000, the blue screen part. It restarted, i removed the CD, restarted again, however nothing changed, and it still started with the CD Drive. I restarted, changed the BIOS to start from HD1 (there was a list, HD0,1,2,3). Instead of giving an error such as “Put in System disc”; it just goes into a black screen and blinks every several seconds. The start plugs are both set as Master (Multiple), the hard drive being in IDE1. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks.
