Bootscreen menu

by adisha . Updated 24 years, 9 months ago

I have just reinstalled Windows 98 OSR2 for a client in order to resolve a problem with a persistant boot screen and a graphics card software corruption (16 colours displayed instead of 32bit-true colour).

The graphics card software is OK now butthe computer always boots with a 6 item menu now (1. Normal mode; Safe mode; Command prompt only etc.) with a 30 sec countdown.

Is there any way of removing this menu screen so the system goes straight into windows without a delay? I have lookedat MSDOS.SYS AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files and they all appear to be OK. Is there a registry entry I’m missing?

Thank you for you help in advance.

Adisha
