Bootup Error… Need help

When my comptuer boots up from my c:, it says there is an error with C:\windows\system32\config\system

Right now I am running xp off my D: but I would greatly appreciate some help with this matter. I’m not sure how to fix it at all. It says u can use the xp cd repair function to fix it but I couldnt’ figure out how to do. Help greatly appreciated.
