Browser/Banner Directory/Images

Has anyone experience problems displaying images looking in a directory called “banner” or “banners” or anything with the word “banner”. I know this sounds strange but for some reason, even when I am expecting to see the famous “X” image, nothing shows up. I’ve even seen it where the “X” image is about to appear and then it all of a sudden goes away. This is driving me crazy because I can not figure out WHY…..
