BSOD from SATA drive

I am welcome to any suggestions. I have 2 identical SATA 250 GB drives installed for storage (no RAID), 1 IDE 250 installed (for OS XP) When I try to look through my SATA drive I get the blue screen and it reboots itself. My second SATA not longer shows up at all except in the BIOS, as Channel 0. Any comments?
